This year is the inaugural inclusion of a Northcross Indoor Bowls Team at the AIMS Games.  150 students’ trialled and we chose 12 dedicated and promising students to join the NX team. These students have given up most lunchtimes to practise for the past three months and a few have joined local clubs to improve their skills.  We have been fortunate in having members of the local community come and work alongside the students and the bond between generations has been wonderful for all parties. This week we had our first competition against a school who was placed in the top 3 at AIMS last year.  We equally matched their skill level and look very promising for competing against the other schools in a few weeks. These students have worked exceptionally hard to go from absolute novice level to highly competitive in a short period of time – we are all very proud of them!  It would be great to have your continued support as we venture into our very first AIMS Games!
