Every year over 100000 food parcels are distributed to families in need. Foodbank New Zealand provides a directory of foodbanks in NZ and raises funds for those foodbanks so they can meet demand.
This month we are fundraising for Warkworth Christian Foodlink. Based in the picturesque town of Warkworth and operated from the Mahurangi Presbytarian Church the WCF provides food parcels to individuals and families in the area that may be struggling to put the basic essentials on the table.
Like all foodbanks in New Zealand, they are also struggling to meet demand. We are seeking donations from caring New Zealanders to help the Warkworth Christian Foodlink replenish their grocery supplies and help them continue the great work they do in the community.

Warkworth Christian Foodlink
This month we have chosen the Warkworth Christian Foodlink as the recipient of our fundraising.
Based at the Mahurangi Presbyterian Church in the picturesque town of Warkworth they have been supporting the local community for over 20 years with food assistance and other services such as after school activities and budgeting advice.
The foodbank is a collobaration with other churches and faiths in the region that have come together to help individuals and families in need. We think they do a great job and are well deserved recipients of this months fundraising.
We would also like to thank The Warehouse Snells Beach for making the Warkworth Christian Foodlink one of their sponsored causes for the next year. They donate a portion of all sales of plastic bags to community based projects in the region. Well done to them.
